Blower Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement.





2. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector (2).

3. Remove the blower motor cooling tube (3).

4. Remove the blower motor retaining screws (1).

5. Remove the blower motor.





6. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage (2).

7. Remove the fan cage (2) from the blower motor (3).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the fan cage (2) to the blower motor (3).

2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage (2).

3. Install the blower motor.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the blower motor retaining screws (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

5. Install the blower motor cooling tube (3).

6. Connect the blower motor electrical connector (2).

7. Install the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement.
