Turn Signal Switch Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual) Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual)Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping) Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping).

2. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.

3. Remove the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch from the turn signal bracket. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement Service and Repair.




4. Release the tabs retaining the turn signal switch bracket (1) to the steering column housing.

5. Slide the turn signal switch bracket (1) off of the steering column shaft.

Installation Procedure





Note: The turn signal switch bracket must be pressed firmly against the steering column housing.

1. Slide the turn signal switch bracket (1) onto the steering column shaft ensuring it is seated and the tabs have engaged the steering column housing.

2. Install the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly to the signal switch bracket. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Install the turn signal headlamp dimmer switch assembly only to the turn signal switch bracket. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.

4. Install the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual) Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual)Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping) Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping).
