Engine Flywheel Replacement (with Manual Transmission)

J 45059 Angle Meter

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the flywheel to the crankshaft

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the new flywheel bolts.

Tighten the flywheel bolts to 40 Nm (30 lb ft) plus an additional 45 degrees using the J 45059 .

3. Install the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
