Front Brake Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning Brake Dust Warning.


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
3. Remove the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Service and Repair.




4. Remove the front brake shield.
5. Remove any debris or corrosion from the front brake shield, wheel hub and steering knuckle mating surfaces.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front brake shield.
2. Install the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
