Subject: Diagnostic Information for DTC P062F Set
Models:
2012 Buick Enclave, LaCrosse, Regal, Verano
2012 Cadillac SRX
2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Equinox, Impala, Orlando, Traverse
2012 GMC Acadia, Terrain
Equipped with Engine RPO LLT, LUK, LFX, LAF, LEA, LFW or LF1
Some dealers may notice DTC P062F set in the ECM. This DTC may either be active or in history.
This code can falsely set during a low battery condition. This can also trigger certain HO2S heater sensor codes (P0030, P0036, P0050, P0053, P0054, P0056, P0059, P0060, P0135, P0141, P0155, P0161).
Important
Do not diagnose the HO2S heater sensor codes until the P062F has been corrected.
If only these codes are set and the vehicle is not exhibiting low battery symptoms, clear the DTCs and perform a couple of engine starts allowing the engine to run for a minute, then shut down and allow the ECM to power down, about a minute. Restart the engine. If no DTCs reset, no further action is necessary. If the DTCs reset, check the ECM power and Ground circuits, as low voltage to the ECM can cause these DTCs to set. If no issues are identified with these circuits, perform normal SI Diagnostics.
If the vehicle is experiencing low battery symptoms, perform Battery Inspection/Test per normal SI Diagnostics. Note that these DTCs can be set if the vehicle has a battery with a low state of charge due to extended storage time, etc.

Use Labor Operation J9999 Electrical and Powertrain Controls - Labor Only for the checking and clearing the DTC on delivered vehicles.
