Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector (3).




3. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor bolts.
4. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor from the air cleaner housing.
5. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor seal, if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the MAF/IAT sensor seal, if necessary.
2. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner housing.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the MAF/IAT sensor bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector (3).
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
