Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L)) and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L)).
2. Drill out the catalytic converter heat shield rivets.
3. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the catalytic converter heat shield.
2. Install new catalytic converter heat shield rivets.
3. Install the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L)) and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L)).
