Blower Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the right hand (RH) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).

Warning

Unplug the blower motor before removal. Blower motor case contact with any ground may start the fan and cause personal injury.

Note: The blower motor resistor is internal to the blower motor assembly and is not serviced separately.

2. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.




3. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
4. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC module.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the blower motor to the HVAC module.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the blower motor retaining screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).

3. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
4. Install the RH insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
