Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Drain the engine of oil.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).




4. Remove the engine oil lever sensor.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the drain plug.

Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

2. Install the engine oil level sensor.

Tighten the drain plug to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




3. Reconnect the electrical connector (1).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Refill the engine. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities (Service Intervals).
