Engine Flywheel Replacement (with Manual Transmission)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the flywheel to the crankshaft

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the new flywheel bolts.

Tighten the flywheel bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft) plus an additional 45 degrees using the J 45059.

3. Install the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
