THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
2. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector (1).




3. Remove the TP sensor screws.

NOTE: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.




4. Remove the TP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the TP sensor.Align the TP sensor with the throttle shaft.

2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.




Install the TP sensor screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




3. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator.
