Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the oil pan drain plug.
3. Drain the crankcase.
4. Reinstall the oil pan drain plug.




5. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.




6. Remove the engine oil level sensor bolt and sensor.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the engine oil level sensor and bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Connect the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Refill the crankcase with new engine oil.
