MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the intake manifold cover.
2. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the spark plug wire clip from the intake manifold bracket, if necessary.
4. Remove the MAP sensor bolt.
5. Remove the MAP sensor.
6. Remove the MAP sensor seal from the upper intake manifold.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAP sensor seal into the upper intake manifold.
2. Install the MAP sensor.
3. Install the MAP sensor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. If required, install the spark plug wire clip to the intake manifold bracket.
5. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the intake manifold cover.
