CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector (2).




3. Remove the CKP sensor stud.
4. Remove the CKP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate the CKP sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Install the CKP sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the CKP sensor stud.

Tighten the stud to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector (2).
5. Lower the vehicle.
