GLOW PLUG CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Disconnect the glow plug control module electrical connectors (1, 2).




4. Remove the glow plug control module bolts.
5. Remove the glow plug control module.




6. Remove the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.
7. Remove the glow plug control module bracket, if required.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the glow plug control module bracket, if required.
2. Install the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Install the glow plug control module.
4. Install the glow plug control module bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




5. Connect the glow plug control module electrical connectors (1, 2).
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. If a NEW glow plug control module was installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References.
8. Install the engine cover.
