MASS AIR FLOW (MAF)/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.




2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor harness connector.
3. Loosen the clamps (1) on the MAF sensor.
4. Carefully remove the MAF sensor from the air intake ducts (5).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the MAF sensor (5) into the air intake ducts.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the MAF sensor flow arrows point away from the air cleaner assembly.

2. Tighten the clamps (1) on the MAF sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the clamps to 4 N.m (35 lb in).




3. Connect the MAF sensor harness connector.
