Input Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the input shaft speed (ISS) sensor electrical connector.





3. Remove the ISS sensor retaining bolt.

4. Remove the ISS sensor from the transaxle.

Installation Procedure





Important:
Lubricate the O-ring with ISU DEXRON III.


1. Install a new O-ring on the ISS sensor.

Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the ISS sensor and retaining bolt into the transaxle case.

Tighten the ISS sensor retaining bolt to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).





3. Connect the ISS sensor electrical connector.

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
