Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement

Tools Required

DT 46473 (DW260-050) Park/Neutral Position Switch Installer

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park/neutral position switch.

3. Disconnect the shift control cable and the retaining clip.





4. Remove the shift lever nut and the shift lever.





5. Remove the park/neutral start switch.

Installation Procedure





1. Place the shift lever in Neutral.

Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the park/neutral start switch.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Use DT 46473 (1) to adjust the start switch.





4. Install the shift lever and the shift lever nut.

Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





5. Connect the shift control cable and the retaining clip.

6. Connect the electrical connector to the park/neutral position switch.

7. Connect the negative battery cable.
