SUNROOF CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING AND SETUP (1 CONNECTOR SYSTEM)
SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR
This programming and setup is used for the 1 connector Sunroof System that uses the combination sunroof motor/actuator.
The sunroof motor/actuator uses sensor inputs to continuously monitor the location of the glass panel and to establish soft stop locations several millimeters ahead of the hard stops (physical limits) of the glass panel. The sunroof motor/actuator includes the sunroof motor, actuator. sensors and the control module. These components are not serviced individually.
SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT
If the sunroof motor/actuator is replaced, the initialization procedure must be performed in the following order:
1. Place the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Press and hold the sunroof switch to the CLOSE position until the glass panel stalls at the hard stop position and moves back to the soft stop position.
3. Release the sunroof switch.
4. Verify sunroof operation. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation (1 Connector System) Sunroof Description and Operation (2 Connector System) in Sunroof/Moonroof.
The programming procedure is not complete if one of the following actions occurs before the procedure is complete:
- The sunroof switch is not held in the CLOSE position.
- The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
- Battery positive voltage is removed.
- The glass panel did not reach the fully closed position.
SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR REPROGRAMMING
This component is not re-programmable.
SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR RE-INITIALIZATION: MAY BE DUE TO RELATED COMPONENT SERVICE
If battery positive voltage or ground is removed and re-installed from the sunroof motor/actuator, the following procedure must be performed in the following order:

5. Release the sunroof switch.
6. Verify sunroof operation. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation (1 Connector System) Sunroof Description and Operation (2 Connector System) in Sunroof/Moonroof.
The re-initialization procedure is not complete if one of the following actions occur before the procedure is complete:
- The sunroof switch is not held in the CLOSE position.
- The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
- Battery positive voltage is removed.
- The glass panel did not reach the fully closed position.
