2002 Chevrolet Express 1 Ton Van V8-8.1L VIN GSECTION Scan Tool Data Definitions
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the GM part number of the BCM.
ABS Warning Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The status of the ABS indicator as commanded by the EBCM.
Brake Warning Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Of. The status of the BRAKE indicator as commanded by the DRL control module.
Driver Side Belt Status: The scan tool displays Buckled/Unbuckled. The state of the fasten safety belt indicator as commanded by the multifunction alarm module (MFAM). The MFAM monitors the signal circuit of the seat belt switch. A closed switch is displayed as Unbuckled.
ECT Sensor: The scan tool displays -40 to +151°C (-40 to +304°F). The PCM monitors the voltage at the signal circuit of the engine coolant temperature sensor. The voltage is inversely proportional to the engine coolant temperature.
Engine Speed: The scan tool displays 0-9999 RPM. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
Fuel Tank Level Remaining: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM monitors the fuel level sensor signal circuit in order to calculate the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.
Fuel Tank Level Remaining: The scan tool displays 0-208 L (0-55 gallons). The PCM monitors the fuel level sensor signal circuit in order to calculate the amount of fuel remaining in the tank.
Fuel Level Sensor: The scan tool displays 0-5 volts. The PCM monitors the voltage of fuel level sensor signal circuit. A low fuel level is displayed as low voltage.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-25 volts. The BCM monitors the voltage of the ignition 1 input.
Security Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The status of the Security Lamp indicator as commanded by the passlock module.
Vehicle Speed Sensor: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h (0-155 mph). The PCM monitors the voltage at the signal circuit of the vehicle speed sensor. The voltage is proportional to the vehicle speed.
