ABS Warning Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the ABS indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Air Bag Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the air bag indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Brake Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the BRAKE indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Cluster State: The scan tool displays Programmed/Not Programmed. The state of the IPC programming.
Cruise Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the CRUISE indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Driver Door Open Sw.: The scan tool displays Open/Closed. The BCM monitors the driver door ajar switch, where a closed switch is displayed as Open.
Door Ajar Switches: The scan tool displays Open/Closed. The BCM monitors the state of the passenger door switches, where a closed switch is displays as Open.
ECT: The scan tool displays -40 to +151°C (-40 to +304°F). The PCM monitors the voltage at the signal circuit of the engine coolant temperature sensor. The voltage is inversely proportional to the engine coolant temperature.
Engine Oil Level: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil level switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low (low engine oil level).
Engine Oil Life: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM calculates the remaining engine oil life.
Engine Oil Pressure: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil pressure switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low (low engine oil pressure).
Engine Speed: The scan tool displays 0-9999 RPM. Engine speed is computed by the PCM from the 3X reference input. It should remain close to desired idle under various engine loads with the engine idling.
English/Metric State: The scan tool displays English/Metric. The default units that are programmed into the IPC based on the part number. This state will not change when the units are changed via the driver information center (DIC).
Fuel Level: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM calculates the amount of fuel remaining in the tank based on the input from the fuel level sensor. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Headlamp Switch: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM monitors the headlamp switch signal circuit, where a closed switch is displayed as Active.
Hi Beam Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the high beam indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Hi Res. Speed Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC does not receive a valid vehicle speed class 2 message from the PCM. Ignition 1: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC displays On if it senses voltage at the ignition 1 input.
Key In Ignition: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM monitors the key in ignition switch, where a closed switch is displayed as Active (key is in the ignition).
Left Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the left turn signal switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On.
Low Brake Fluid: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the brake fluid level indicator switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low brake fluid).
Low Brake Fluid Report: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC sends a class 2 message to the EBCM indicating low brake fluid.
Low Coolant Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the engine coolant indicator module, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low coolant level).
Low Fuel Indicator Off: The scan tool displays a percentage. This is the calibration value the IPC uses in order to determine when to turn off the low fuel indicator in the message center. It is based on the class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Low Fuel Indicator On: The scan tool displays a percentage. This is the calibration value the IPC uses in order to determine when to illuminate the low fuel indicator in the message center. It is based on the class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Low Fuel Indicator Timer: The scan tool displays counts. This is the calibration value the IPC uses in order to control the delay before the IPC illuminates the low fuel indicator in the message center. The counts correspond to seconds.
Low Res. Speed Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC does not receive a valid wheel speed class 2 message from the EBCM. The wheel speed is used as a back up if the IPC does not receive a valid vehicle speed class 2 message.
Low Washer Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the windshield washer solvent level switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (low washer fluid).
Odometer Msg. Failed: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state will be On if the IPC does not receive a valid odometer rolling count class 2 message from the PCM.
Park Brake Switch: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM monitors the park brake switch, where a closed switch is displayed as Active.
Parklamp Switch: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM monitors the parklamp switch signal circuit. The state of the parklamp switch, where a closed switch is displayed as Active.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays a 4-digit number that the identifies the PROM.
Right Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the right turn signal switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On.
Seat Belt Enabled: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the safety belt switch as indicated by the BCM via class 2.
Seat Belt Status: The scan tool displays Buckled/Unbuckled. The state of the fasten safety belt indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Traction Off Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the TRAC OFF indicator as commanded by the IPC.
Trip Reset Switch: The scan tool displays On/Off. The IPC monitors the trip reset switch, where a closed switch is displayed as On (switch pressed).
Trunk Lamp Switch: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The output of the rear compartment lid ajar indicator switch, where an open switch is displayed as Inactive (trunk closed).
Vehicle Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h (0-155 mph). The PCM monitors the voltage at the signal circuit of the vehicle speed sensor. The voltage is proportional to the vehicle speed.
8 Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the GM part number of the IPC.
