Generator Bracket Replacement

2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo V6-3.4L VIN ESECTION Generator Bracket Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Remove the generator.
3. Remove the generator bracket bolts.
4. Remove the generator bracket.
5. Remove engine lift hook.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install engine lift hook.
2. Install the generator bracket to the engine.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install and finger tighten the generator bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the generator bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

4. Install the generator.
5. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
