Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

2001 Chevrolet Lumina V6-3.1L VIN JSECTION Service and Repair
Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure sensor.
4. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure





1. Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the engine oil pressure switch.
Tighten the switch to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
