Keyless Entry Transmitter
2001 Chevrolet Lumina V6-3.1L VIN JSECTION Keyless Entry Transmitter
The transmitter is a hand-held device that has three buttons. The buttons commands the functions of the system. The transmitter sends a radio signal to the receiver, which helps carry out the functions of the Keyless entry system.
The range of the transmitter is about 1-10 m (3.2-33 ft). The range may decrease at times. This is normal for any remote control lock system.
Complete the following steps if the transmitter does not operate or if you must stand closer to the vehicle in order to operate the transmitter:
^ Determine if the battery requires replacement.
^ Determine if you are standing too far from the vehicle. You may need to stand closer during rainy or snowy weather.
^ Determine if other vehicles or objects are blocking the signal. Take a few steps to the left or the right.
