The remote control door lock receiver module is part of the remote keyless entry system. The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) module sends a serial data message to the Body Control Module (BCM) module through a dedicated circuit. The RCDLR module is not on the class 2 serial data network. The door LOCK and UNLOCK, and Panic Alarm are commands sent to the RCDLR module by the transmitter (Key Fob), the RCDLR module then sends a serial data message to the BCM to perform the appropriate function.
