1999 Chevrolet Express 1/2 Ton Van V6-4.3L VIN WSECTION Traffic Program (TP)
The Traffic Program (TP) feature enables the radio to receive traffic announcements. When you press the TP button, the button turns ON the traffic program. If the radio is not tuned to a ADS station, the same re-pressing the TP button causes the radio to seek to a RDS station that does have the traffic program. If the TP feature is ON, pressing the TP button turns the TP feature OFF. The radio has a TP icon that indicates if the traffic announcements can be received.
The brackets around the TP icon in the radio indicate if the TP is ON or OFF. The following are the possible icon displays:
^ The current station or network is capable of broadcasting traffic programs.
^ The use has turned the TP feature on and the current station or network is capable of broadcasting traffic programs.
^ The user has turned the TP feature but there are currently no stations or networks being received that broadcast traffic programs.
During a traffic announcement the radio display will show TRAFFIC ANNOUNCE.
