Clock Time (CT)
1999 Chevrolet Express 1 Ton Van V8-5.7L VIN RSECTION Clock Time (CT)
The Clock Time (CT) is the feature that allows the RDS radio stations to update the vehicle clock automatically, if selected. While tuned to a RDS station, either in the PTY mode or not, the CT can turn ON or OFF by pressing and holding the HR and the MN buttons together for 2 seconds. The radio display will show CLOCK TIME ON or CLOCK TIME OFF. While either of these choices are showing in the radio display, a momentary press of wither the HR or the MN button will switch the feature to the opposite status. When you select the CLOCK TIME ON feature, 2 seconds after CLOCK TIME ON is shown in the display the display scrolls to show TIME ZONE EST when EST is the currently selected time zone. While TIME ZONE is shown in line 1 of the radio display, rotating the TUNE knob enables the user to select the appropriate time zone. Allow the CT mode to tune-out in 5 seconds. The CT feature will activate, if selected. The time-out is the only way to exit the CT mode.
