Installation Procedure
1998 Chevrolet Express 1 Ton Van V8-5.7L VIN RSECTION Installation Procedure
Description:
1. Install the SDM (3) to the vehicle (1).
2. Install the SDM mounting fasteners (2).
Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb. in). Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.
3. Install the SDM harness connector to the SDM.
4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the SDM harness connector.
5. Position the carpet to cover the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).
6. Install the driver seat.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
