SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
1. When making compression checks, disconnect the distributor electrical connector to disable the ignition and fuel injection system.
2. No periodic lubrication of the distributor is required Engine oil lubricates the lower bushing and the upper bushing is prelubricated and sealed.
3. There is no manual dwell adjustment.
4. The material used to construct the spark plug wires is very pliable and sort. This wire will withstand high heat and carry a high voltage. Due to the more pliable wire, scuffing and cutting become easier. It is therefore extremely important to route the spark plug wires correctly to prevent chafing or cutting. When removing a spark plug wire from a spark plug, twist the boot on the spark plug and pull on the boot to remove the wire.
