Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J25254-1OA Oil Pressure Sender Socket

IMPORTANT: Note the orientation of the oil pressure sensor fitting prior to removal.




1. Remove the oil pressure sensor from the fitting.




2. Remove the oil pressure sensor fitting from the block.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





IMPORTANT:
^ Increase the torque until the fitting is properly aligned for the installation of the sensor.
^ Do not rotate the fitting more than 3590 after the minimum torque has been met
^ Under no circumstances should the fitting be loosened in order to obtain rotational orientation.

1. Install the oil pressure sensor fitting to the block.

Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 15 N-m (11 lb ft).
