Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Liftgate garnish molding.
3. Two electrical connectors from controller assembly.
4. Two rivets and controller assembly from liftgate.
^ Drill the heads from the rivets using an appropriate drill bit.

Install or Connect
1. Controller assembly on liftgate with two rivets using a hand-held rivet gun.
2. Two electrical connectors to controller assembly.
3. Liftgate garnish molding.
4. Negative battery cable.
