CONTROL MODULE APPLICATION

There are three unique types of control modules, and various systems used to control their operation by engine or vehicle.

1. Control Module System with Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- 2.2L (VIN 4) "S" (2WD) S10 Pickup, Sonoma Pickup with Automatic or Manual Transmission.
- 4.3L (VIN Z) "S/T" (2WD/4WD) S10/T10 Pickup, Sonoma Pickup with Automatic Transmission.
- 4.3L (VIN W) "S/T" (2WD/4WD) S10/T10 Pickup, Sonoma Pickup, Bravada, Blazer and Jimmy with Automatic Transmission Only.

2. Control Module System with Vehicle Control Module (VCM).
- 4.3L (VIN Z) "S/T" (2WD/4WD) S10/T10 Pickup, Sonoma Pickup with Manual Transmission.

3. Control Module System with Vehicle Control Module (VCM-A).
- 4.3L (VIN W) "S/T" (2WD/4WD) S10/T10 Pickup, Sonoma Pickup, Bravada, Blazer and Jimmy with Automatic or Manual Transmission.
