CAUTION:
If the COMPUTER is found to be defective and needs replacement, remove the old MEMCAL and place it into the replacement computer. When replacing the COMPUTER always transfer the BROADCAST CODE and PRODUCTION ECM/PCM NUMBER to the service label on the replacement computer.


DESCRIPTION:
The MEMCAL assembly contains both the functions of the PROM and the CALPAK. Like the PROM, it contains the calibrations needed for a specific vehicle. It also is the fuel back up control for the computer should it become damaged or faulty.
