Removal

1. Disconnect electrical connector.
2. Remove vehicle speed sensor retaining screw.

Inspection

1. Inspect speed sensor for:
- Damaged connector.
- Cracked housing.
- Signs of rotor damage.
2. Inspect speed sensor O-ring seal for cuts or nicks.
3. Inspect vacuum modulator valve for scoring, nicks or burrs.
4. Inspect modulator valve O-ring for nicks or cuts.
5. Inspect vacuum modulator for bent neck or dented can.

Removal

1. Install vehicle speed sensor retaining screw.
2. Reconnect electrical connector.
