Fig. 18 Locking cable conduit:

1. Unlock the cable conduit engine fitting, Fig. 18.
2. On gasoline engine models, proceed as follows:
a. Move cable conduit until throttle plate begins to open.
b. From this position, move conduit in the opposite direction enough to close the throttle plate.
c. Do not release cable, until the cable conduit lock is in place.
3. On diesel engine models, proceed as follows:
a. Move cable conduit until the injection pump lever moves off the idle stop screw.
b. From this position, move the conduit in the opposite direction enough to return the lever to the idle stop screw.
c. Do not release hand grip from the cable until the cable conduit lock is in place.

4. While holding the cable conduit, firmly push down on the cable conduit until it snaps in place, Fig. 19.
