1992 Chevrolet Camaro V8-305 5.0L VIN ESECTION Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Replacement

Throttle Body Assembly (Typical):






1. Remove the air cleaner assembly and extension spacer.
2. Disconnect TPS electrical connector.
3. Remove two TPS attaching screws, lockwashers and retainers.
4. If equipped, remove screw attaching TPS actuator lever to end of throttle.
5. Remove TPS.
6. With throttle valve closed, install TPS. Line up TPS lever with TPS drive lever on throttle body.
7. Apply suitable thread locking compound to screw threads, then install retainers, lockwashers and screws. Adjust TPS, see ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
8. Attach the TPS electrical connector, and reinstall air cleaner assembly.
