G SERIES

LESS A/C

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel bezel.
3. Remove control assembly mounting screws. Draw control unit rearward, then lower unit from instrument panel. Be careful not to kink control cables during replacement procedure.
4. Disconnect control cables, illumination bulb and blower switch harness lead.
5. Reverse procedure to install.

WITH A/C

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove control knob from headlamp switch, and remove instrument panel bezel.
3. Remove control unit to instrument panel retaining screws.
4. Remove temperature control cable mounting tab screw and eyelet clip.
5. Draw control unit out of instrument panel, first bringing lower right mounting tab through, upper tab next, and lower left tab.
6. Disconnect vacuum lines and harness leads.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Check temperature door operation.
