Case Assembly Inspection

1987 Chevrolet Suburban 1/2 Ton 4WD V8-350 5.7LSECTION Case Assembly Inspection
1. Inspect case exterior for cracks or porosity.

2 Inspect case to valve body face for damage, interconnected oil passages and flatness.

3. Inspect vent assembly for damage.




4. Inspect 2-4 servo bore for damage, porosity or burrs.

5.Inspect orifice cup plug in servo bore for debris or damage.

6. Inspect 3rd accumulator bore for porosity, damage and burrs.




7. Inspect 3rd accumulator bore for plugged or damaged orifice cup plug.

8. Inspect speedometer bore for damage, sharp edges or porosity.

9. Inspect a I bolt holes and cooler connections for thread damage.

10. Inspect case interior for damaged ring grooves, worn or damaged clutch plate lugs and scored or worn bushings.




11. Inspect governor support pin installation depth as shown.
