1. Remove inside manual shaft nut.
2. Remove manual shaft and manual shaft retainer.
3. Remove parking lock actuator assembly and inside detent lever.
4. Pry out manual shaft seal using a suitable screwdriver, then install new seal using a suitable tool.
5. Inspect actuator rod, inside detent lever and manual shaft for burrs, cracks or damage.
6. Install parking lock actuator on inside detent lever.
7. Install manual shaft into case and inside detent lever.
8. Install inside manual shaft nut onto manual shaft and torque nut to 23 ft lbs.
9. Install manual shaft retainer onto manual shaft.
