Reverse Input & Input Clutches
1987 Chevrolet R 30 P/U 2WD V8-379 6.2L DSLSECTION Reverse Input & Input Clutches
1. Install selective thrust washer onto the input housing.
2. Install bearing assembly with inside (black race) facing toward the oil pump.
3. Install reverse input clutch assembly onto the input clutch assembly. Ensure all clutches are fully engaged.
4. Install reverse input and input clutch assembly into transmission case. Ensure all clutches are fully engaged. When properly assembled, the reverse input clutch housing should be located just below the case oil pump face.

3. Install reverse input clutch assembly onto the input clutch assembly. Ensure all clutches are fully engaged.
4. Install reverse input and input clutch assembly into transmission case. Ensure all clutches are fully engaged. When properly assembled, the reverse input clutch housing should be located just below the case oil pump face.
