1987 Chevrolet Chevette L4-98 1.6LSECTION Service and Repair

1. Reach under instrument panel above steering column and loosen transmission drive link to motor crank arm attaching nuts.
2. Disengage transmission drive link from motor crank arm.
3. Raise hood and disconnect electrical connectors.
4. Remove motor attaching bolts.
5. Remove motor while guiding crank arm through hole.
6. To install, align sealing gasket to base of motor assembly and reverse remaining removal procedure. If the wiper motor to dash panel sealing gasket is damaged during removal, it should be replaced to prevent possible water leaks.
