1. Place throttle position switch on fuel injector pump with throttle lever in closed position. Throttle position switch should be attached snugly. Do not tighten.
2. Attach continuity meter across terminals or wires as shown, Figs. 40 and 41.
3. Turn stop screw on throttle shaft to wide open position and insert ``switch closed'' gage block between gage boss on injection pump and stop screw.
4. Rotate and hold throttle lever against gage block.
5. Rotate throttle switch clockwise (facing throttle switch) until continuity just occurs across terminals or wires. Hold switch body in this position and tighten mounting screws. Switch point must be set only while rotating switch body in clockwise direction.
6. Check by allowing throttle lever to return to idle position. Remove ``switch closed'' gage bar and install ``switch open'' gage bar. Rotate throttle lever against it. There should be no continuity between terminals or wires.
