Pump Body Assembly
1985 Chevrolet C 10 P/U 2WD V8-350 5.7LSECTION Pump Body Assembly
1. Install O-ring seal and oil seal ring into groove on back side of slide, as shown. Apply suitable locking compound to the pump body oil seal to help aid in retaining seal in body.
2. Install pivot pin spring and pivot pin into the pump body.
3. Install slide while aligning notch in slide with pivot pin, then the slide seal and support. Oil seal ring should face downward into the pump pocket.
4. Install pump vanes and vane guide ring, and rotor assembly.
5. Install pump slide spring. If removed, install the oil seal assembly using pump oil seal installer tool No. J-25016, or equivalent.
