1. Raise rear of vehicle and support rear axle under front side of spring seat using a suitable jack.
2. If right hand side bushing is to be replaced, disconnect parking brake cable from equalizer.
3. Remove parking brake cables from bracket attachment and position out of way.
4. Disconnect brake line bracket from frame.
5. Disconnect shock absorber from lower mounting, then pull spring out of way.
6. Remove four control arm to underbody attaching bolts and allow control arm to rotate downward.
7. Remove nut and bolt from bracket attachment and remove bracket.
8. The bushing can now be replaced using tools shown in Figs. 4 and 5. When installing bushing, press bushing in until end of bushing is aligned with scribed line on tool J-28685-2, Fig. 5.
9. Reverse procedure to install control arm. Install bracket to control arm as shown in Fig. 2.
