1. Remove TBI unit then the TPS as described previously. Loosely reinstall sensor and position TBI unit on intake manifold without installing bolts. Remove fuel pump fuse.
2. Connect three jumper wires between TPS harness and TPS, Fig. 170.
3. With ignition on and engine not running, measure voltage between sensor terminals B and C, Fig. 170, using a digital voltmeter.
4. In the closed throttle position, voltmeter should read 0.795 - 0.845 volts on 4-112 and all V-8 engines, 0.450 - 0.600 on 4-151.
5. Rotate TPS as necessary to bring voltage within specifications. Tighten screws and recheck voltage.
6. Turn ignition off and remove jumper wires.
7. Install TBI unit.
