Position lever return spring over tapped post and slip lever finger into rack slot and hole over tapped post. Raise lever slightly and slip end of spring between lever and boss and push down to secure.
3. Position wave washer on tapped boss over release lever, then position shroud onto housing and install the three attaching screws. Connect actuator rod into rack.

Position ignition switch, then move slider to extreme left (ACC) and slide back two positions to the right to OFF-UNLOCK position, Install actuator rod into slider and install the bottom screw only to retain the ignition switch. Do not move switch out of detent.
