Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1982 Chevrolet Celebrity L4-151 2.5LSECTION Service and Repair

1. Raise hood, then remove right and left wiper arm and blade assemblies.
2. Remove shroud grille to body attaching screws, then shroud grille.
3. Loosen, but do not remove nuts securing transmission drive link to motor crank arm, then disconnect drive link.
4. Disconnect wiring connectors and washer hoses.
5. Remove 3 screws attaching wiper motor to firewall.
6. Remove motor while guiding crank arm through hole.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Motor must be in ``Park'' position before assembling transmission drive link to crank arm. Torque transmission drive link to 48---75 in. lbs.
