Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1982 Chevrolet Celebrity L4-151 2.5LSECTION Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Remove TPS screws, lock-washers, and retainers. Remove TPS sensor from the throttle body. Discard and replace screws.

INSTALLATION

1. Position sensor over throttle body. Ensure TPS pickup lever is located above tang on actuator lever.
2. Using new screws and lockwashers, apply thread locking compound to screws and install. Adjust TPS as described under "Throttle Position Sensor, Adjust."
