Distributor Replacement

1982 Chevrolet Camaro L4-151 2.5LSECTION Distributor Replacement
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove two bolts securing rear engine cradle.
3. Lower cradle enough to allow for access to distributor.
4. Remove five brake line support to floor pan retaining screws.
5. Remove coil wire and distributor cap and position aside.
6. Mark relationship of rotor to distributor housing and distributor housing to engine block, then remove distributor hold down clamp and remove distributor from engine.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure marks made during disassembly are correctly lined up during distributor installation.
8. Adjust ignition timing to specifications.
