Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair

1999 Cadillac Seville SLS V8-4.6L VIN YSECTION Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain power steering fluid from reservoir.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure switch.





4. Remove the power steering pressure switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the power steering pressure switch.
^ Tighten the pressure switch to 10 Nm (8 ft. lbs.)

2. Connect the power steering pressure switch electrical connection.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the power steering reservoir. Refer to Refilling the Power Steering System in Steering/Service and Repair.
5. Check for power steering fluid leaks.
